Policy Makers

Through one of its key project's partners, SIOPE (the European Society of Paediatric Oncology), ENCCA regularly interacts with EU policy-makers and other stakeholders in order to represent the opinion of paediatric oncology in Europe and, thereby, to shape EU health and research policies on childhood cancer.

The ENCCA network is crucial to establish strategic partnerships with other paediatric and rare diseases experts, as well as patients, parents  and the teenagers and young adults' oncology community.
Today, both SIOPE and ENCCA have become key stakeholders at the European level, involved by EU policy-makers when paediatric oncology policies and new pieces of legislation  are discussed.

ENCCA today supports the European paediatric oncology community to:

  • Identify and unify the opinions of the different ENCCA partners, centres and institutions in Europe

  • Speak with a single representative voiceand influence the European health and research policies at the EU-level

  • Be part of EU influential networks and engage other stakeholders in paediatric cancer research, care and education
